How much does an Odoo implementation cost in the UAE?

Odoo licences and integration services are two separate budgets. Public Odoo prices, a worked example for 10 users, what drives the service cost and the hidden costs to plan for in the UAE.

How much does an Odoo implementation cost in the UAE?

An Odoo budget in the UAE has two parts. The first is public: the Odoo subscription, paid per user to the vendor. The second depends on your business: the integration work that turns an empty database into an ERP your team uses every day. Most budget surprises come from mixing the two. Here they are separated, with a licence example for 10 users and the costs SMEs in Dubai tend to discover too late.

Two cost blocks, two different logics

Licences scale with headcount, integration with complexity. Keep them on separate lines in your budget and in every proposal you compare.

Block 1: Odoo licences, at public prices

Odoo publishes its prices on odoo.com/pricing. In October 2026, in US dollars:

  • One App Free: one application, unlimited users, hosted on Odoo Online. A good way to start with invoicing or CRM alone, but not yet an ERP.
  • Standard: all apps, from USD 31.10 per user per month, or USD 24.90 during the first 12 months. Hosted on Odoo Online only.
  • Custom: all apps plus Odoo Studio, multi-company, the external API and the hosting of your choice (Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or your own server), from USD 61 per user per month, or USD 49 during the first 12 months. Odoo.sh hosting is billed separately.

There is also Odoo Community, the free open-source edition. It has no licence fee, but its accounting is limited and you host and maintain it yourself, which moves the cost to the services side.

Standard or Custom?

Standard covers a single company running standard processes on Odoo Online. Custom becomes necessary as soon as you need one of these:

  • several legal entities in one database, for example a free zone company and a mainland company;
  • your own fields, screens or reports built with Odoo Studio;
  • connections to other software through the external API;
  • hosting on Odoo.sh or on your own server, usually because you need custom modules.

Choose the plan during scoping, not after go-live. Switching later changes your per-user price, and sometimes your hosting.

Worked example: licences for 10 users

Ten users, all apps, public prices, licences only:

PlanFirst 12 monthsFrom month 13
Standard10 × USD 24.90 = USD 249 per month (USD 2,988 for the year)10 × USD 31.10 = USD 311 per month (USD 3,732 per year)
Custom10 × USD 49 = USD 490 per month (USD 5,880 for the year)10 × USD 61 = USD 610 per month (USD 7,320 per year)

The dirham is pegged to the US dollar (about AED 3.67 per dollar), so the full-price monthly totals come to roughly AED 1,140 on Standard and AED 2,240 on Custom. On Custom, add Odoo.sh if you choose it. These are "from" prices: check odoo.com/pricing on the day you subscribe.

Block 2: integration services

Licences give you the software. Integration makes it work for your business: scoping, configuration for UAE VAT and corporate tax, data migration, e-invoicing, training and support.

We do not publish a price list for this part. We quote after a free audit, on a written scope with deliverables and a timeline, so you know what you are buying before work starts. Our Odoo implementation method in Dubai describes each step.

What drives the integration budget

  1. Users and companies. The number of users and roles, access rights, and above all the number of legal entities: multi-company, multi-currency and inter-company flows take more configuration and testing.
  2. Modules and processes. Accounting and invoicing alone is one project. Sales, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, point of sale and HR together is another. Each app adds configuration, test scenarios and training.
  3. Data migration volume and quality. Customers, suppliers, products, opening balances, open invoices and sometimes history. Clean data imports quickly; duplicates, missing TRNs and inconsistent product codes take time. Each source system (Zoho, QuickBooks, Tally, Sage, spreadsheets) needs its own mapping. See how we handle migration to Odoo from your current tools.
  4. Integrations. Online shop, payment gateway, bank, logistics, existing business software: each connection has to be configured or built, then tested.
  5. Customisation. A few Studio fields cost little. Custom-coded modules cost more to build, and must be retested and migrated at every Odoo version upgrade.
  6. E-invoicing connector and ASP fees. Odoo is not on the Ministry of Finance list of accredited service providers. A third-party connector links your Odoo to the ASP you choose. Budget the configuration, end-to-end testing, and the connector and ASP fees. Our page on UAE e-invoicing with Odoo covers the mandate and the timeline.
  7. Training and adoption. How many teams, roles and languages, and how many key users to train in depth. We use the Prosci ADKAR method so the system is actually used after go-live.
  8. Hosting choice. Odoo Online is included in the subscription. Odoo.sh is billed separately. Your own server means setup, backups, security and maintenance.
  9. Support after go-live. A hypercare period, then ongoing support, small changes and version upgrades.

Hidden costs to watch

  • The end of the first-year price. Standard goes from USD 24.90 to USD 31.10 and Custom from USD 49 to USD 61: about 25% more at renewal. Budget year two at full price from day one.
  • Moving from Standard to Custom later. If you discover after go-live that you need a second company, Studio or the API, the per-user price nearly doubles.
  • Your team's time. Cleaning data, testing, attending training: those hours never appear on the integrator's invoice, but they are real.
  • Custom code at upgrade time. Every custom module has to follow each new Odoo version. The more code, the more each upgrade costs.
  • E-invoicing running costs and deadlines. ASP and connector fees recur. Missing the deadline costs too: under Cabinet Decision No. 106 of 2025, failing to implement the system or appoint an ASP on time is fined AED 5,000 per month, and each e-invoice not issued as required costs AED 100, capped at AED 5,000 per month.
  • Two systems in parallel. Running the old tool and Odoo side by side for months doubles data entry and subscriptions. Set a clear cut-over date.
  • Changes outside the scope. New requests during a project are normal. Without a written scope, they turn into an open-ended invoice.

How to keep the budget under control

  1. Start with an audit and a written scope. Our free Odoo audit maps your flows, obligations and priorities before any quote.
  2. Standard first, custom second. Use what Odoo does natively before writing code: a shorter project and cheaper upgrades.
  3. Phase the rollout. Accounting, invoicing and e-invoicing first, then inventory, manufacturing or HR once the first phase runs smoothly.
  4. Migrate what you need. Opening balances and open items are usually enough. Keep older history as an export rather than migrating ten years of records.
  5. Name internal key users. One person per area who tests, decides and trains colleagues saves days of back-and-forth.
  6. Subscribe to Odoo directly. The subscription is in your company's name, you see exactly what you pay, and there is no resale margin.
  7. Plan around the e-invoicing deadline. Below AED 50 million in revenue, you must appoint an ASP by 31 March 2027, and e-invoicing becomes mandatory on 1 July 2027. At AED 50 million or more, the dates are 30 October 2026 and 1 January 2027.
  8. Ask for the documentation. Configuration, procedures and access handed over at the end, so you can change provider without starting again.

FAQ

Is Odoo free?

Partly. One App Free gives one application to unlimited users, and the Community edition is free and open source, with limited accounting. A full ERP starts at USD 31.10 per user per month on the Standard plan (USD 24.90 in the first year).

Do I pay the Odoo licences to KENOBIZ?

No. You subscribe directly with Odoo, in your company's name. Our integration fees are separate and quoted on a written scope.

Can you give me a price without an audit?

We can share the licence cost straight away from the public prices. For integration, we quote after a free audit, once the scope is written, so the figure matches your real project.
